This is how Chinese badminton player Lin Dan celebrated his victory over Lee Chongwei (李宗伟) of Malaysia, who ranked No.1 in the world, on November 21. Lin won the gold in the badminton men'singles final at the Asian Games in Guangzhou. Known as "Super Dan", the 27-year-old Lin is said to be one of the greatest players of his generation. He won nine top titles between 2002 and 2004. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he won a gold. He also took home golds from the 2006 and 2007 World Champiomships. Lin is a left-handed player and can cover the court quickly. On the court, Lin plays with a confident and showy style, which has made some people describe him as "arrogant (傲慢的)". He is also known for his hot temper (火爆脾气). While playing in South Korea in 2008, he stopped the match and threw his racket to the ground to protest (抗议) line calls. |
